Glencar house is a place of perfect peace, our House has 19 en-suite bedrooms, a glazed veranda - with the most spectacular landscape as its canvass, the Cedar Restaurant - overlooking forest, mountains, and the relaxing Caragh bar with turf burning open fireplaces. A victorian snooker room and library, with open fireplace, completes the hotel`s comfortable facilities.

Nestled in an ancient valley and on the footsteps of Ireland`s tallest mountain, Carrauntuohill, Glencar nestles in 13 acres of unspoilt oak woodlands, with a sylvan views extending over yet more hectares of unpolluted, wild natural woodlands, open bog and mountains. Also abundant are its famous fresh loughs, rivers and streams bursting with salmon and trout. While the "Kerry Way", Ireland`s premiere long distance walking route, winds it way past the House.
