Kayaking in Glencar, Kerry

The Caragh River is also one of the best white water rivers for kayaking in the country with clubs from all over the country frequenting the river during the winter months.

Lower Caragh River - Grade 2

Continuous and exciting rapids. Some sections are especially fun and bouncy in high water. Plenty of eddies. Can be paddled at most water levels. One of the best Grade 2 river's in the country!
NOTE: Kayaking is advised only in winter due to the active presence of Fishermen on the River.
