Killarney
is the nearest major urban centre and the hub of transport
infrastructure.
Fly: Glencar’s nearest airport
is Kerry International, 14 km north of Killarney. Shannon
International is approx 160 km from Glencar while Cork
is 120 kms from Glencar.
Rail: Killarney has a daily mainline
train service direct to Dublin and Cork. Check-out
irishrail.ie for all schedules.
Travelling by car: From Killarney
you will take the N72 west to Killorgan and from
there take the N70 south towards Cahersiveen. Leaving
the N72 after approx 5 kms, you will turn left -
Glencar signposted - and travel along the eastern
side of Lough Caragh until you reach Glencar.
Killarney is equally well served by national bus services
from all of Ireland’s major towns and cities.
