Ian McKeever, world record holder – reaching
the top of the seven highest mountains on each continent
in the fastest time in July 2007 – stayed at
Glencar and trained on the Reeks, in late June, prior
to his final challenge - Denali Mount McKinley in Alaska
- which he completed on 1 July 2007.
Glencar House features in the recently published ‘Fly
Fishing in Ireland’ by John Bailey, a open testimony
to Bailey love of Ireland, its people and its abundant
waters.
